Some thoughts on your individual personality:
1. Each person is made in the image of God.
This includes aspects of intelligence, emotions, morality, spiritual longing, and personality.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
(Genesis 1:26)
2. Humans have the gift of choice and an extraordinary ability to adapt and change their behavior. But our basic personalities tend to be extremely stable over our lifetimes. And with each personality comes certain strengths and weaknesses.
The Bible is full of fascinating characters who are examples of the different kinds of personalities. Well-known figures like Paul and Peter and Abraham and Moses all loved God, yet each person was very different from one another.
Their personalities trickled out in their words and actions and tendencies. And they also were revealed in the way they worshiped, prayed, and stepped out in faith.
3. Understanding our personality and those around us is a wise thing that is important for effective teamwork and healthy relationships, especially as God is allowed to work upon us.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.
(James 3: 13-14)
